World Voice Day was observed in the ENT and Head and Neck Surgery Department on 16 April at Silchar Medical College and Hospital, Assam.

This year’s theme was “Caring for our voices”, chosen by the Voice Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery. Lectures on awareness for prevention, early diagnosis and treatment of various voice disorders were given by the faculty and the speech therapist.

World Voice Day was celebrated at Guwahati with a poster campaign to create awareness about voice care. Interviews on popular vernacular TV channels and newspapers were undertaken, with good public feedback.

As part of World Voice Day celebrations on 19 April 2026, the launch of the Professional Voice Care Society of India was initiated at Virinchi Hospital, Hyderabad, by a team of laryngologists, voice therapists, voice coaches, movie artists and playback singers.

On World Voice Day, 16 April 2026, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at KIMS organised activities to promote awareness about voice health. Banners on vocal well-being were displayed across the hospital, and an awareness programme was conducted for patients and professional voice users.

A symposium for postgraduate students supported academic discussion on voice care and management. The session concluded with a brief address by Dr K.K. Samantaray, Professor and HOD, emphasising the year’s theme and the need for continued awareness.

The Department of ENT, MIMER Medical College and BSTR Hospital, Talegaon Dabhade, Pune, celebrated World Voice Day on 16 April 2026. The centrepiece was the “Know Your Voice Challenge”, highlighting individual vocal identity, with education on vocal hygiene. The event concluded with a tribute to Asha Bhosle.
