Dr. (Prof.) Phaniendra Kumar Valluri was the guiding light in its formation and founder president — with Dr. Jayakumar R Menon as founder Vice President and Dr. Kumud Kumar Handa as founder Honorary Secretary.

The official journal — IJPL
The International Journal of Phonosurgery & Laryngology was launched in 2011, published by Jaypee Brothers with Dr. P.S.N. Murthy as the Editor-in-Chief. The biennial publication is now available online, with bibliographic listings including Index Copernicus, EBSCO and ProQuest.
